Benefits of Our “One-Card” Fuel and Maintenance Programs
With our “One-Card” fuel card options, your drivers’ workdays are simplified. Since our fleet fuel card is accepted at 98% of gas stations across Canada, drivers don’t have to spend time looking for a specific fuel vendor. The card also makes it easier for them to choose the lowest-price gas option available.
Seeking company approval for maintenance and repairs can be time-consuming and stressful for drivers. As part of our fleet card solution, we pre-approve maintenance vendors and simplify repair authorizations based on pre-set spending limits. If a given repair’s cost exceeds those limits, our in-house certified technicians will step in and pre-screen the repair, to ensure the suggested work is really needed.
Our fleet card program enormously reduces your administrative workload. Instead of collecting, recording, and reconciling every fuel and maintenance receipt, you receive one annotated invoice. You can also review and analyze every transaction with a host of online and offline activity reports. We manage your billing, so you can manage your business.
Proper tire maintenance increases safety and reduces fuel consumption. You can choose to include tire purchase, service, and off-season tire storage in your fleet card program, which alerts drivers to maintain their tires for safety, performance, and economy. We’ll also provide advice on the best tires to suit your fleet’s geography and operational needs.
Our reporting tools are specifically designed for businesses to use with ease, no matter your level of fleet knowledge. You can analyze and report on cardholder details, transaction activities, and spending patterns to easily monitor and take better control of your maintenance and fuel costs.
Under our fleet card programs, card misuse and fuel fraud drop significantly. Our cards automatically limit fuel spending to reasonable amounts based on historical data. If fueling is excessive or improbable (in the wrong location or at the wrong time of day), our system flags the transaction and notifies you immediately.
Because identity fraud and card theft are increasing risks, our systems also employ CardArmour technology to virtually eliminate instances of card copying and identity theft.

Fleet Card FAQs
What is a fleet card?
Provided to your organization by a fleet management company, a fleet card allows your drivers to pay for fuel, maintenance, and repairs associated with their company vehicles. Drivers can use the card just like a credit card to make fleet-related purchases at vendors who are part of the card providers network.
How do fleet cards work?
Your drivers can use a fleet card similar to how they use a credit card. They can use it to pay for their fuel, maintenance, repair, or tire purchases and your company will be billed once a month with a consolidated invoice. Fleet card programs include robust monitoring tools that allow you to control purchase limits and receive alerts if a suspicious purchase is made. At Foss, our fleet card is accepted at 98% of fuel and maintenance vendors across Canada, so drivers spend less time looking for a specific vendor and more time doing their jobs.
Does the Foss fleet card have annual or transaction fees?
Our fees vary depending on the size of your fleet. Please reach out to us to learn more about fees and pricing structures.
Can I add vendors to your network that are around my location, or that I have a relationship with?
Yes, we are open to adding any customer-preferred vendor to our maintenance network, as long as the vendor is able to meet our quality standard and structure.
How is the decision made to approve or decline maintenance transactions?
At Foss, our vehicle maintenance technicians (VMT) oversee every vehicle repair that a maintenance shop recommends for our clients. The repair is sent through to us for screening, and we’ll either approve or decline it based on the vehicle’s maintenance history, and whether we believe the repair is actually necessary (as per the vehicle manufacturer policy or your company policy). This ensures our clients never pay more than what is absolutely necessary for vehicle maintenance.
