Our History

Foss National Leasing is part of the Roy Foss Motor Group which was founded in 1962 by Mr. Roy Foss.

In 1972 the first commercial fleet customer was signed, launching Foss National Leasing into what it is today.  Over four decades later, this customer remains a valuable member of the FNL leasing portfolio.

In the late 1980’s, Foss National Leasing purchased a fuel and maintenance company to manage the card program.  This program expanded greatly and in the early 1990’s became a separate product from leasing, titled the Foss Fleet Management Program.

In 1990 Foss National Leasing introduced their Roadside Assistance program, and was the first leasing company in Canada to provide this service.

Recognizing a void in the marketplace, in 2010 Foss National Leasing was the first Canadian leasing company to provide Driver ID technology on their fleet card.

Often an innovator in their field, FNL has a rich history of growth and is committed to expanding their product and service offerings to meet the needs of the fleet customer.  Supporting clients nationally from offices in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, as well as globally through a long-standing relationship with LeasePlan International, Foss National Leasing has always and will always be committed to providing the best and most innovative service to their customers.
