Bulletin #17, July 14, 2004 Express Pay at Esso with FossExpress Card

Foss National Leasing, along with our partner, Imperial Oil is pleased to announce that drivers who are enrolled in the Foss Fleet Management program now have the option of paying for their vehicle fuel right at the pumps at Esso stations across Canada. This provides for shorter stops and decreased potential for magnetic stripe theft, as your FossExpress card never leaves the driver’s hand.

Over one-third of Esso fuel sites have this capability right now.


For convenience a single transaction at the pump will be allowed up to $100.


For security the card will be deactivated at the pump FOR THREE DAYS if either of these situations occurs- 1. The daily purchases total over $75.00 or 2. The card is used 2 times per day regardless of the dollars purchased. If at any time a valid card does not work in the pump it can still be used in the kiosk. Your drivers receive a receipt right at the pump for their own record keeping. All other FossExpress card features remain the same.

Get back on the road faster with self-serve Express Pay pumps. You don't need to go into the kiosk or store to pay. There are more than 750 Esso stations across Canada where you can pay at the pump by credit card. About 400 will also let you pay for a car wash right at the pump

While the risk of fraud is reduced, Foss will receive “velocity reports” that indicate multiple transactions and these will be reviewed with your account team as appropriate. This is in addition to our monthly “multiple same day fuel purchases” edit we have been performing since 1996.

**Please note due to technical reasons Esso's Speed Pass will not be available with the FossExpress Card.**
