It has been determined that the techniques and tools utilized by certain criminal elements are rapidly surpassing the built-in security features of the pump-based Point of Sale POS systems. Methods have been developed to read and copy the information from an in-pump card reader and possibly without the knowledge or complicity of the site operator. This information is then reproduced on dummy credit cards with magnetic stripes. These are known as "white cards" and the process is known as "white card" fraud. As there is no signature or paper trail for this, any type of investigation or recovery is extremely limited.

Going forward, your drivers will be required to present their FossExpress card in the kiosk for payment and sign the receipt, which can then be retrieved for up to 6 months. There will be no other changes to the products or services available via the FossExpress card.

We regret to be required to take this course of action however, we feel this that is the best method to reduce the potential exposure to our customers for this type of theft.
